Recomputed from scratch — a fresh MP2/cc-pVTZ relaxed scan, the periodic torsional Schrödinger equation solved on the resulting potential, and transmission through the barrier that actually matters — with the tunneling splitting checked against sixty years of far-infrared spectroscopy.
